What You Will Learn

  • Learners will cover the fundamental and specialized skills necessary to land a job or advance in the booming field of data analytics, including Python, JavaScript, Intermediate Excel, SQL Databases, Machine Learning, and more.
  • Learners receive a hands-on, classroom learning experience, conducting robust analytics on a host of real-world problems.
  • Learners gain access to a tutor network, allowing them to get help both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Learners receive career-planning assistance, including:
    • Portfolio reviews, resume and social media profile support, career content and practice sessions, technical interview training, 1:1 career coaching, soft skills training, and more.
    • Access to a dedicated Profile Coach and Career Director that will work with you throughout the program and prepare you to be Employer Competitive.

When does the program start?

  • Class starts April 22, 2024.
  • Live sessions are held weekdays from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Can I keep working while studying at UofT SCS Data Analytics Boot Camp?

  • Yes. The program was designed for working professionals who are seeking to advance their current careers or change paths.

How long does it take to complete the program?

  • The program is part-time. Learners can complete it in six months (24 weeks).

Do you provide career planning support?

  • Yes. We offer all of our learners career support and coaching as well as resume and portfolio support, interview preparation and experiential learning opportunities.

Do I need to have previous experience in programming or data analytics before applying?

  • No programming experience is required, however, it is recommended that applicants hold a Bachelor’s Degree or have at least two years of experience in business, management, finance, statistics, or a related field.

What sets your boot camp apart from others I can join in Toronto or elsewhere?

  • We offer a part-time program that allows working professionals to study data analytics and visualization without leaving their current job.
  • Learners benefit from a robust set of professional development services to prepare them for success as they work to advance or change careers.
  • Our curriculum is built based on the most in-demand technologies specific to the market.

How many hours a week is the program?

  • You can expect to spend approximately 10-12 hours per week in class. To be successful our learners spend an average of an additional 20 hours per week preparing for class, completing homework and career services assignments.

What is the tuition fee?

  • The tuition fee is $10,500* Canadian dollars. *Plus 13% HST.

What financial support is available?

  • Learners can arrange to make a payment plan. To find out more, please call 647-245-1020 to speak with an Admissions Officer.
  • Individuals who pay the tuition in full by the early registration deadline are eligible for a $1,000 early registration discount.*

  • UofT SCS Comparative Education Service (CES) clients are eligible for a $200 course discount.*

Will I be issued a Tuition and Enrolment Certificate (T2202A)?

  • As defined by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), the UofT SCS Data Analytics Boot Camp is not a specified or qualifying educational program under the taxation guidelines, and therefore not eligible for the federal tuition tax credit or the Ontario education and tuition tax credits. For this reason, a Tuition and Enrolment Certificate (T2202A) will not be issued for this program.
