UofT SCS Coding Boot Camp was designed to help learners develop the skills and professional network needed to capitalize on the demand for 182,000 ICT workers in Canada by 2019, with ICTC predicting that the most in-demand roles will include computer programmers, software engineers, database analysts and web developers.*

What You Will Learn

  • Learners will cover a full stack, gaining the skills for frontend and backend development.
  • Learners gain access to a tutor network, allowing them to get help both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Learners gain access to career-planning assistance, including:
    • Portfolio reviews, resume and social media profile support, career content and practice sessions, technical interview training, 1:1 career coaching, soft skills training, and more.
    • Access to a dedicated Profile Coach and Career Director that will work with you throughout the program and prepare you to stand out in the market.
    • All of the tools to become Employer Competitive and stand out in the market.
  • Learners will also gain industry insights through Tech Talks—quarterly online panels with local industry professionals.

When does the program start?

  • Classes begin: April 8, 2024.

How long is the course?

  • Learners can complete the program in six months.

Can I keep working while studying at UofT SCS Coding Boot Camp?

  • Yes. The program was designed for working professionals who are seeking to advance their current careers or change career paths.

Do you provide career planning support?

  • Yes. We offer learners career support and coaching, including portfolio reviews, resume assistance, and technical interview training. In addition, we offer learners experiential learning opportunities to strengthen their portfolio.

Do I need to have previous experience in programming before enrolling?

  • No. While having some background can help, our pre-course tutorials will get you up to speed and ready to start learning on Day 1.

How many hours a week is the program?

  • You can expect to spend approximately 10-12 hours per week in class. To be successful, learners spend an average of an additional 20 hours or more per week in class preparation, homework and career services assignments.

What is the tuition fee?

  • The tuition fee is C$12,989.35 (inc. 13% HST)* Canadian dollars.
    *Plus 13% HST

What financial support is available?

  • Learners can arrange to make a payment plan. To find out more, please call 647-245-1020 to speak with an Admissions Officer.
  • Individuals who pay the tuition in full by the early registration deadline are eligible for a $1,000 discount.*

  • UofT SCS Comparative Education Service (CES) clients are eligible for a $200 course discount.*

Will I be issued a Tuition and Enrolment Certificate (T2202A)?

  • As defined by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), the UofT SCS Coding Boot Camp is not a specified or qualifying educational program under the taxation guidelines, and therefore not eligible for the federal tuition tax credit or the Ontario education and tuition tax credits. For this reason, a Tuition and Enrolment Certificate (T2202A) will not be issued for this program.
